I would like to share an analogy to explain my point of view about the situation that we are living right now, if I may. I do not support the looting and the destruction happening in many of our states these past few days. However, I understand why some are doing it!

It is just like a husband abusing his wife for many years and never listening to her pain. What happens? When she finally says enough is enough and hurts him, he then asks her why and it gets his attention. The problem is that her husband has messed her up mentally, physically and emotionally so much and for so long that now “her anger cannot even see!”

(The racist nation being the husband and the black people being the wife)

On top of that, we have a president who is emotionally unstable and do not know how to relate to people.  We have voted to put a man in power, a man who is supposed to be a leader for this country, our Commander and Chief. Unfortunately, this man has let his narcissism get the best of him. The best he can say is “MAGA loves black people and argue with folks on twitter just like a five year old.

We are living a time of turbulence and disruption with no leadership. People of all colors, races, nationalities and walks of life are losing loved ones, losing their livelihood and nearly losing their minds because of this horrible virus (COVID 19).

In the midst of all of that, black people still have to deal with police brutality, racism, disrespect, unfairness and lack of equality in our society. Enough is enough, but please do not take me wrong. I don’t believe that chaos and violence should be the answer. What I believe is that the pain has gotten so deep and so loud that now we are crying for help. The same way that I believe that not all cops are racist and abuse their power. I also believe that not all people who are expressing their anger right now are criminals.

As a Christian woman I will continue to pray that the Lord will hear our cry, I will continue to pray that change will come and things will get better. Also, I will continue to pray for our president and our nation. Moreover, I will pray that men of all colors, races, nationalities and walks of life will get on their knees and will let God fight this battle. Until we understand we cannot win this war alone, we will always feel defeated.

“If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
